Communities and Education

Collaboration:

Curriculum improvement: Café Britt supports ASOBITICO , a Costa Rican association that promotes the International High School degree for public schools in Costa Rica.

Café Britt CoffeeTour: More than 500 school students per year and groups from organizations that support the disabled and other vulnerable sectors take our award-winning tour for free.

Support for innovative programs that significantly enhance community development and promote sound administration of resources.

We support foundations and associations that attend vulnerable groups, such as the Asociación de Amigos Sor María Romero, ASART, Asociación en Familia, among others.

Workplace:

Café Britt has been identified as one of Central America's 50 best companies to work for.

Our work environment respects diversity, encourages internal mobility and maintains fair compensation.

We have a strict no-tolerance policy regarding child labor. We do not work with suppliers who exploit their workers.

Systems based on OSHA 18000 are in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone on staff. Employees are trained in workplace safety, workplace risks, occupational health, and accident prevention.

We provide health insurance policies for staffers and their families.

We encourage a culture of volunteerism among personnel and our suppliers. We believe it's our social obligation to work to eliminate barriers based on class, social, cultural and ethnic differences. More than 380 volunteers including staffers and their families have volunteered for our programs.
